3/8/2023 0 Comments Battletech bull shark![]() Yeah, I could definitely see that happening. However, Hanse might still want the Dobrev, or at least see it destroyed instead of going to one of his rivals. After all, why try to go for one broken down ship that would be dangerous to jump with, when the Dragoons have a few Warships fully intact, in mothballs, plus people who know how to run and repair them. ![]() Even Liao, who might not have the forces to spare to grab the thing, would offer a world or two to anyone willing to sell.įunnily enough, FedCom won't need the Dobrev because they just made a very good deal with the Wolf Dragoons. A Warship might just be what people need to push back against Davion expansion. Not because of the Bullshark, but because of the Dobrev itself. ![]() Probably only diplomatic and intel assets for Taurians they would want their forces close at home in case those Fedrats finally try to invade.īut if word about the Dobrev goes out, I expect a mad scramble for it. The FWL too, but I reckon that they would be a bit busy with their own mini-Civil War.īut the Concordiat and the Magistracy aren't involved as deeply in the 4SW, so they can afford to assign assets once proto-clantech starts showing up. Even the Capellans would be looking for ways to level the playing field, but they don't have the forces to spare. Hell, with the find in Helm, everyone would be just that much more vigilant for any new lostech finds. And not just them Canopians would be a bit nervous about a resurgent Great House that might want to do Reunification Wars 2.0. Because at this point, the new FedCom is busy beating up the Capellan Confederation (and the Combine too, if not as badly), and if I were a paranoid Taurian, my alarm bells would be ringing round the clock at what the Davions were doing. This build shown using standard equipment, but changing to Ultras or LB-X could shred armor even more.Actually, if the events of the HBS Battletech 2018 game were canon in this universe, I would expect a lot more heat when the proto-clantech starts showing up. Pros: Even with 1T less armor, it is still a tank LRM ammo for 12 rounds, AC/5 ammo for 11 rounds ~260 Dmg at long range +100 at closing time (massive 360 Alpha).Ĭons: No JJ, no Shield Arm, very hot Alpha strike. Another option is to drop the MLs and bring the armor down 3 tons to size up the LRMs and make this a dedicated fire support platform. The stock model has enough armor to spare another ton for the same purpose. You won't miss that -3 Heat until you use the MLs. Using a mechwarrior with Gunnery 1/Tactics 2 would be how I'd utilize this mech, but that Guts 2 Coolant Dump has advantages when using the MLs.Īdjustments: Trade one HS for another ton of AC/5 or LRM Ammo. The Mediums only come into play once the mech closes distance. Ignore the Heat Efficiency as shown without the 4MLs, that heat measures 9/10, meaning you can fire long range weapons all day without pushing heat. ![]() By switching the AC/10s to AC/5s, you free up enough tonnage to add Heat Sinks, and it takes a few to cool this fish. This simple correction addresses both issues. Its beautiful symmetry runs light on ammo in the non-mortar model, but it is so prone to overheat that you won't be firing all that frequently, anyway. ![]()
